Orthodox Christians and radicals gathered outside the capital’s commercial court of appeal, where the Upper Lavra case is being heard.

Ukrainian Orthodox Church believers and a group of anti-Church activists gathered outside the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal in Kyiv, where the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra case is being considered, according to the Pershyi Kozatskyi Telegram channel.

According to believers, activists carrying signs against the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra lined up outside the courthouse. Dmytro Korchynskyi, who has previously called for churches to be burned and Orthodox Christians to be killed, was among those present.

At the same time, UOC faithful gathered near the courthouse entrance, praying for the Lavra’s defenders and brethren.

Police are present at the scene.

As the UOJ reported, Korchynskyi and a radical who took part in the storming of the cathedral in Cherkasy had called on their supporters to attend the hearing in the Upper Lavra case.
