The Nezhyn Diocese celebrated the patronal feast of the Hustyn Monastery
At the Hustyn Monastery, the Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Klyment, co-celebrated by three hierarchs and clergy from several dioceses of the UOC.
On August 10, 2026, a festive divine service was held at the Holy Trinity Hustyn Convent of the Nezhyn Diocese in honor of the Hustyn Icon of the Mother of God. This was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia Diocese.
The Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Klyment of Nezhyn and Pryluky. He was co-celebrated by Metropolitan Nykodym of Zhytomyr and Novograd-Volynsky, Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar, Archbishop Feodosiy of Ladan, and clergy from several dioceses.
During the service, the hierarchs and faithful prayed for peace in Ukraine, for the preservation of the lives of soldiers, and for the well-being of the Ukrainian people.
After the Liturgy, a religious procession was held with the Hustyn Icon of the Mother of God. At the conclusion of the service, the archpastors expressed their gratitude to the clergy and faithful for their shared prayer.
The Hustyn Icon of the Mother of God has been known in the monastery since the 17th century. The monastery's chronicle preserves a record that as early as 1670, the icon was venerated as glorified by numerous miracles and healings. Originally, the icon was located above the monastery well and was later transferred into the monastery itself.
As the UOJ reported, thousands of faithful prayerfully venerated the Mother of God at the Pochaiv Lavra.
