Khmelnytskyi hierarch offers condolences to family of man killed in shelling

Metropolitan Victor addressed the faithful following the shelling of Khmelnytskyi by Russian forces.

On December 23, 2025, Metropolitan Victor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv, on behalf of the clergy and faithful of the eparchy, expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of a person killed during the morning shelling of Khmelnytskyi. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy in its Telegram channel.

In his address, Metropolitan Victor noted that the clergy and laity of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church “daily offer prayers for our warrior defenders of Ukraine, for the repose of those innocently killed, and for the recovery of all who have been wounded.”

The hierarch also emphasized that prayers are being offered throughout the eparchy for the coming of a blessed and long-awaited peace upon the land.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that two UOC churches were damaged by shelling in Kherson.
