The UOC has responded to the latest attacks.

The Kharkiv and Ternopil eparchies of the UOC have expressed their condolences to those affected by the shelling of 17–19 November 2025, the UOC press service reported.

According to the eparchies, during the night of 17 to 18 November, a 17-year-old girl was killed in the town of Berestyne in the Kharkiv region; dozens were injured; private homes, apartment buildings, administrative facilities and infrastructure were destroyed. The Kharkiv eparchy expressed condolences to the girl’s family and to all victims, offering prayers for the repose of the departed, the recovery of the wounded, and strength for those who survived the tragedy.

“The clergy and faithful of the Kharkiv eparchy offer prayers for peace in our country, for the Ukrainian army, for the rescuers and for all who defend our people’s right to a dignified and peaceful life on the land given to us by God. Eternal memory to all the innocent victims. Lord, have mercy and protect our nation,” the eparchy wrote.

On 19 November, the Ternopil eparchy published an appeal expressing deep condolences to the families of the deceased and wishing the wounded a swift physical and spiritual recovery. The eparchy calls for prayer for an end to bloodshed and for peace in Ukraine.
