In Mynkivtsi, UOC parish "transferred" to OCU at illegal meeting

An OCU cleric, who oversaw the process, acknowledged that a "different community" was voting on the fate of the shrine.
On August 23, 2025, in the village of Mynkivtsi, Rivne region, OCU representatives held a meeting regarding the fate of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos parish of the UOC. As reported on the Telegram channel "Dozor", despite the presence of the religious community, outsiders voted for its "transfer".
While activists, who have no relation to the parish, were deciding the fate of the shrine, Orthodox Christians prayed near their church.
The police, present at the illegal gathering, merely watched.
"The OCU cleric overseeing the process admitted that a 'different community' was voting on the fate of the shrine. However, he added that in this way they are 'seeking justice' so that OCU activists can conduct their rituals in someone else's church," the message states.
According to the information from the scene, raiders began the process of falsifying documents for the UOC church.
As reported, the OCU has had its own premises in the village since 2008. According to local residents, they have never gathered since registration.
