In Zakarpattia monastery, UOC hierarchs consecrate new chapel

At the St. Stephen's Monastery in Zakarpattia, a new Chapel of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos was consecrated.

On the day of the Finding of the Relics of the holy Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen, hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated a festive Divine Liturgy and consecrated a new chapel at the St. Stephen Monastery, reports the Khust Eparchy.

The rite of consecration of the Chapel of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos before the beginning of the service was performed by the head of the Khust Eparchy, Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv, who was co-served by the vicar of the Khust Eparchy, Bishop Mark of Rakhiv.

On the feast day, the clergy and numerous faithful offered prayers to the Lord, glorifying the holy Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen and seeking his prayerful intercession.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Mark addressed the worshippers with a word of spiritual guidance. The archpastor congratulated the brotherhood of the monastery and all the faithful on the feast, wishing them peace, God's help, and spiritual strength.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a hierarch of the UOC consecrated a new bell tower in the village of Bukovo in Zakarpattia.
