US Pastor Condemns Authorities for Patronizing Sharia Law

Pastor Lorenzo Sewell accused the Dearborn city hall of patronizing Sharia law due to the impunity of Islamists.

Detroit pastor Lorenzo Sewell condemned the Dearborn City Council for patronizing Islamic laws at the expense of American legislation. The preacher expressed his protest at an open city hall meeting in the state of Michigan. This was reported by Christian Post.

According to the pastor, city authorities grant the Muslim community unwarranted privileges under the pretext of protecting freedom of religion. The criticism was prompted by the police's lenient treatment of Islamists following the beating of an activist during a religious procession.

"This city no longer abides by American laws, we abide by Sharia law," stated Pastor Lorenzo Sewell. "We will no longer tolerate this."

The preacher reminded those present that Muslims make up only one percent of the country's total population. For this reason, they have no right to impose their rules on the majority of US citizens. Sewell called on the council to restore the primacy of United States laws within the city.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, thousands of Muslims in the US marched in honor of an Islamic holiday.
