American blogger Laura Loomer was welcomed at the Lavra by the Minister of Culture and the First Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
Ukrainian authorities organized a tour of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for American blogger Laura Loomer. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve.
Loomer was received at the Lavra by Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsya, and Director General of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve Maksym Ostapenko. It was these senior officials who accompanied the guest around the Lavra grounds, which points to the official state nature of the visit.
Loomer is known for conspiracy theory videos. She had previously been a harsh critic of Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that Kyiv was to blame for the conflict. However, in June 2026 she suddenly reversed her position and traveled to Ukraine. She did not clarify what prompted her to change her views so radically.
As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, Ostapenko led a Vatican delegation to the Far Caves of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
