A fictitious assembly was held in Ploske to "transfer" the Pokrovsky church to the OCU
In the Kyiv region, a group of OCU activists is preparing a raider seizure of the UOC Church of the Intercession of the Theotokos, having begun forging documents.
The OCU announced the "transfer" of the Pokrovsky church of the Boryspil Diocese of the UOC in the village of Ploske, Brovary district, Kyiv region, into their structure. Details about the illegal assembly are published in the Telegram channel "Dozor".
According to the church community, on July 5, 2026, a group of activists organized an assembly near the local House of Culture, at which, without the participation of the rector and parishioners of the UOC, a vote was held in favor of "joining" the structure of Dumenko. The minutes of this "assembly" are intended to be used for the falsification of legal documents regarding the change of ownership of the church.
Photos have appeared online showing activist Oleksandr Lyman, who previously participated in similar raider schemes in the villages of Pohreby and Zazymye, as well as in the case of the Petropavlivsky Cathedral in Brovary. Believers are convinced that the forgery of documents is the first stage of preparation for the physical seizure of the church.
Media outlets claim that allegedly "all 248 registered parishioners unanimously supported the decision to join the Holy Pokrovsky parish to the Pereyaslav-Vyshnevska Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine."
As the UOJ reported, OCU activists were spreading calls in local groups to come to "general assemblies" at the House of Culture in the village of Ploske. The organizers stated that any residents of the localities who own real estate could influence the community's decisions.
