Motor procession with prayer for peace held in Rivne Eparchy
The faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prayed for an end to the war during a motor procession in the Hoshcha Deanery.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Pimen (Voyat), a motor procession was held in the Hoshcha Deanery of the Rivne Eparchy with prayers for an end to the war in Ukraine, peace and unity of the people, reports the press service of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC.
On July 5, 2026, the clergy and laity of the deanery formed a column of cars that traveled along the roads of the Buhryn Territorial Community, visiting churches and settlements where there are no active Orthodox churches. At each location, the participants of the procession offered prayers to God for peace, God's blessing upon the Ukrainian people, protection from evil, and the strengthening of families.
The Dean of the Hoshcha District, Archpriest Mykhailo Petrov, noted that all participants unanimously asked the Lord to grant Ukraine peace, love, and spiritual unity. He thanked the priests and faithful who joined the procession, emphasizing that communal prayer becomes a witness of faith and devotion to the Church.
As the UOJ reported, a UOC procession to Khreshchatyk began in the Chernivtsi region.
