U.S. bans LGBT programs in hospitals for veterans
The Trump administration eliminated gender ideology in the veterans' healthcare system, cutting funding for sex-change operations.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has introduced a complete ban on the promotion of “gender identity” and the implementation of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) programs in its medical centers, reports Life Site News.
According to the document, hospital management must immediately remove all materials promoting sex change and strip care coordinators of their special “LGBT status.”
The new directive required staff to cleanse websites, training materials, and internal clinic policies of any mention of “gender ideology.” The law now prohibits spending federal funds, employee work time, and government resources on activities that support transgender ideas.
In addition, the Department of Veterans Affairs has stopped paying for disfiguring sex-change surgeries and hormone therapy. Agency Secretary Doug Collins stated that veterans still have the right to all benefits they have earned, but attempts to “change sex” must now be paid for out of their own pockets.
In addition to the financial restrictions, the authorities restored traditional moral norms in hospitals. All intimate spaces – bathrooms, locker rooms, and wards – are now assigned strictly according to the patient’s biological sex.
As the UOJ reported, a transgender U.S. congressmember said she was "ordained" in a Protestant church.
