Azman assures that Russia is trying to destabilize Ukraine from within by persecuting Jews.

Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman on his Facebook page thanked V. Zelensky for signing the law on criminal liability for manifestations of anti-Semitism.

"This is an important and timely step. Ukraine clearly shows: hatred, discrimination and calls for violence have no place and will have no place in Ukrainian society," Asman stated, emphasizing that Russia "is trying to destabilize Ukraine from within, including by using those who try to sow discord."

The rabbi did not provide any examples of how the RF "sows discord" by persecuting Jews in Ukraine. According to him, "a strong state is a state where the dignity of every person is respected. And today Ukraine is confidently moving in this direction!"

The rabbi was not supported in the comments.

"A more stupid law cannot be invented. Who oppresses Jews in Ukraine?" asks Natalia Shakh.

"And who oppressed you in Ukraine? We have Ukrainians being oppressed more than anyone!" writes Dmytro Zimin.

"A strong state is where everyone is equal before the law, where there are no favorites. Where there is no corruption, and not where Jews are not insulted. They already feel like fish in water here, while we already don't feel at home, every law is against us," wrote Elizaveta Dovhanych.

"Now you will put your Hanukkahs on every corner in our country, I wonder, do you hang tridents in Israel on Independence Day?!" asks Oleg Leonidovich.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zelensky signed the law on criminal liability for anti-Semitism.
