‘Bishop’ Nikon said OCU representatives threatened his life after Filaret Denysenko’s funeral.

Nikon Hrabliuk, the UOC-KP’s ‘Bishop’ of Odesa and Balta, has published an official statement claiming that representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine threatened his life and health.

According to the ‘hierarch,’ two unidentified men approached him on the way back to his hotel after Filaret’s funeral and threatened him with violence.

Nikon described the incident as an attempt on his life. He also warned the ‘clergy’ of the UOC-KP’s Odesa-Balta ‘eparchy’ about possible threats against them.

In his appeal to the police, the ‘bishop’ asked law enforcement to take note of his statement. He also said that if he disappears or dies suddenly, he places full responsibility on representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

Nikon signed the statement as the UOC-KP’s ‘Bishop’ of Odesa and Balta, temporary administrator of UOC-KP parishes in Italy, and temporary member of the UOC-KP’s ‘Holy Synod.’

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the OCU had accused the UOC-KP of working for the Kremlin.
