The head of the OCU supported skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych for reminding the world about the war in Ukraine and criticized hypocritical “peacemakers.”

The head of the OCU, Serhiy Dumenko, expressed support for the disqualified skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych and spoke of his pain over the indifference of part of the international community to the war in Ukraine.

Referring to Heraskevych’s disqualification at the Olympics because of a helmet bearing the names of fallen Ukrainians, Dumenko said that what hurts him most in this story is “that on the international stage there are still many who are ‘tired of this war,’ who are still ‘afraid of being drawn in,’ for whom it supposedly ‘does not concern them.’”

According to him, “the truth will always prevail – it will expose what is dirty and corrupted and tear the masks from the faces of hypocritical ‘peacemakers.’”

“To Vladyslav Heraskevych – gratitude. For courage, for principle, for faith, for truth, for remembrance. Glory to Ukraine and her heroes!” Dumenko said.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Dumenko had also addressed those “who depend on the position of the Moscow Patriarchate.”
