UOC Social Department in Kyiv distributes humanitarian aid to IDPs
Employees of the Social Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) held a charitable event to support internally displaced persons.
On January 3, 2026, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, the Social Department of the UOC in Kyiv distributed humanitarian aid to families of displaced persons. This was reported by the Telegram channel “The Church Helps.”
The event took place at the Center for Social and Humanitarian Assistance with the support of the Primate’s Charitable Foundation “Peace Be With You.”
“The Lord teaches us to love our neighbor not in words but in deeds – to be merciful and to support those who have found themselves in hardship. In times of war, this is especially important. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joins us in helping to support forced migrants,” representatives of the Social Department noted.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy had raised more than 4 million hryvnias for charity.
