The publication Fosfanariou believes that a Greek theologian has attacked the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The authors of the resource Fosfanariou, which is close to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, published a sharp critique of the Greek priest and theologian Anastasios Gotsopoulos for his article on the UOJ "Appeal to the Phanar: Ensuring justice or encouraging injustice?", dedicated to the decisions of the Ecumenical Throne on appeals submitted by clergy of other Churches.

The authors of Fosfanariou called the theologian's publication an «attack on the Ecumenical Patriarchate» and urged the hierarchy to «respond» to him.

Without having reasoned objections to the facts presented in the article, the authors of Fosfanariou call Fr. Anastasios a "fanatical supporter" of Metropolitan Tychikos, and the facts he presented about the absurdity of the "reinstation" of Filaret Denysenko and Makariy Maletych as "well-known arguments of those who fight against the autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine".

"In any case, the cleric of Patras should receive an appropriate response from the Church for his undesirable interference in the affairs of the Church of Cyprus," the authors of the material urge.

As earlier reported, a Greek theologian spoke about unexpected decisions on appeals at the Phanar.
