Humanitarian aid from UOC Volyn Eparchy delivered to Sviatohirsk Lavra

Orthodox faithful from Volyn shared their potatoes, carrots, beets, and onions with the brethren and refugees of the Lavra.
Parishioners of two churches from the Volyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church collected more than four tons of vegetables for the monks and displaced persons living at the Sviatohirsk Lavra. According to the monastery’s website, the shipment arrived at the Lavra on October 18, 2025.
The initiative was launched by Archpriest Yuriy Mykhailov, rector of the Nativity of the Theotokos parish in Kamin-Kashyrskyi. The priest invited parishioners to donate any food they could to support the monks of the frontline Sviatohirsk monastery and the civilians affected by the war who have found refuge there. The rector of the Protection of the Theotokos Church in the village of Pischane, Fr. Mykola Pavelchuk of the Zhytniv deanery, also announced a collection in his parish.
According to the organizers, people responded eagerly and brought their own potatoes, carrots, beets, and onions.
The shipment was delivered to the Lavra by volunteers from the “Pobratym” association in Kamin-Kashyrskyi. This was already their fourth trip to the monastery this year.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC had collected 20 tons of aid for the Sviatohirsk Lavra.
