Dnipropetrovsk Metropolitan offers condolences to victims of shelling
Metropolitan Irenei of Dnipropetrovsk and Pavlohrad expressed condolences to the relatives of those killed and injured as a result of the shelling of Dnipro and Pavlohrad, reports the UOC Information Center.
Two people were killed and two others were injured in the attack on Dnipro. In Pavlohrad, the number of people injured has risen to 67, including seven children, while five people were killed.
"I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased. I share your inexpressible grief and pray for the repose of the souls of the innocently killed. May the Lord grant them eternal rest in His Heavenly dwellings, and may the wounded and injured receive the swiftest and fullest recovery."
The archpastor called on the residents of the cities not to lose strength and to support one another through prayer. "In these difficult moments of trial, I urge you not to lose heart and to seek comfort and support in prayer. Prayer is our strength, our hope, and our unity."
Separately, the hierarch called for prayers to God for all those affected, medical workers, and rescuers. "Let us offer a prayer for those who suffer, for our doctors, rescuers, and all who are helping the victims today, as well as for peace in our land, the hierarch concluded. "Lord, grant rest to the souls of the deceased, heal the wounded, strengthen all who suffer, and grant peace to our land."
As the UOJ reported, according to the Prosecutor's Office, over the years of the war, the RF has damaged nearly 2,000 churches and monuments.
