In Kryvyi Rih, UOC priest attacked with axe during liturgy, media
The criminal was detained, he faces punishment for "hooliganism".
According to local media, on October 5, 2025, an unknown man with an axe came to an Orthodox church in the Metallurgical district of the city of Kryvyi Rih. As the Telegram channel «Dozor» reports, it is one of the UOC churches.
The attacker rushed at the priest and knocked off his headwear with the axe.
Police officers quickly identified the individual involved. He turned out to be a 35-year-old city resident. They detained the man and informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under part 4 of article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported by the UOJ, in Nikopol, a parishioner of the Holy Cross Church died from shelling.
