Believers of the UOC in Cherkasy continue to pray in adapted premises after the raider seizure of their church by OCU supporters.

On September 15, 2025, on the feast day of Sts. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves, the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated the patronal feast in one of the adapted premises in Cherkasy. This was reported by the UOC Information and Education Department with reference to the press service of the Cherkasy Eparchy.

The parishioners have to pray in a space adapted for worship after their church was seized by supporters of the OCU.

The festive Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, with the eparchy's clergy concelebrating.

During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine and for all who need spiritual support. At the end of the service, the bishop blessed the community.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier supporters of the OCU seized the UOC community's church in Cherkasy, after which the faithful have to conduct services in adapted premises.
