In Kremenchuk, OCU cuts off electricity to UOC parish feeding 200 needy

Supporters of the Dumenko structure re-registered the electricity supply contract in their name and requested to cut off the power to the community.
Since June 20, 2025, the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC in Kremenchuk has been left without electricity. According to the religious community of the Kremenchuk Eparchy, representatives of the OCU submitted a request to the Kremenchuk branch of JSC "Poltavaoblenergo" to disconnect the electricity in the church.
The reason given for the disconnection was repair work related to the power grid.
As discovered by the eparchy, at the beginning of June, supporters of Dumenko's structure re-registered the electricity supply contract in their name.
The eparchial press service highlighted that court proceedings on the illegal re-registration of the Holy Trinity religious community in favor of the OCU are currently underway.
Additionally, as noted by the eparchy, the actions of the Dumenko supporters leave about 200 people without food, as traditional charitable meals at the parish were prepared using electricity.
"We consider this situation to be another provocation by the supporters of the OCU, who are trying by any means to harm the religious community of the UOC," the statement said.
As reported by the UOJ, in Kremenchuk, the court denied the OCU's claims to the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC. The Dumenko supporters stated that they would be filing an appeal.
