In Lavra Reserve, 75% of budgetary funds spent on salaries

In the Reserve, 184 million was spent on salaries out of the allocated 248 million budget funds.
In 2024, the "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" Reserve was allocated 248 million budget funds, of which 184 million was spent on salaries and only 17 million – on security and restoration activities. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Culture Serhiy Biliaev at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy on June 4, 2025, reports "UP".
According to him, more people work in the Reserve than in the ministry, which deals with a large number of monuments.
Biliaev also mentioned that there are only two restrooms for visitors on the Reserve's territory, and a separate one for the director and his deputies, and the management has also made a rest room for themselves.
As reported by the UOJ, Deputy Minister of Culture Serhiy Biliaev stated that 21 objects of the Kyiv-Pechersk reserve are in disrepair.
