Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra warns about fake pages of the monastery on social media

The press service of the monastery asks believers not to spread false content from unofficial sources.
Fake pages have appeared on social networks that actively use the names and symbols of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The press service of the monastery asks to be cautious.
“Such channels, which have no relation to the official pages of monasteries or other institutions of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, often publish materials from these official sources without permission and without citing them. Moreover, using deepfake technology, they sometimes generate video messages on behalf of the UOC episcopate. Such fake pages, which do not have a wide audience of subscribers, use the Lavra's names and symbols,” the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery warns.
To avoid any misunderstandings, the press service of the Lavra reminds that, by the blessing of the episcopate, the brethren have created and maintain the following pages and accounts:
– on the social network Facebook:
Києво-Печерська Лавра. Киево-Печерская Лавра
– on YouTube:
Киево-Печерская Лавра (@KCLavra)
Киево-Печерская Лавра (KievoPecherskaLavra)
– on Telegram:
The press service of the monastery asks believers not to spread false content from unofficial sources. It is also advisable to report such clone pages to the support services of social networks.
As reported by the UOJ, Lavra’s ecclesiarch shared how Venerable Fathers saved two AFU soldiers.
