In Cherkasy, OCU activists demand the arrest of UOC hierarch in court

They are convinced that Metropolitan Theodosiy was released so that he "could continue to deny the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and incite inter-religious hostility."
On March 25, during another meeting, activists of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine held a rally outside the Sosnivka District Court in Cherkasy, demanding the return of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv to custody. This was reported by the 18000 website.
Representatives of Dumenko’s structure claim that the release of a hierarch from nighttime house arrest gives him the opportunity to "deny Russian aggression and incite hatred."
“Theodosiy was not present at the scene – all he can do now is travel around Ukraine and spread Russian propaganda, but he can't appear in court because he's supposedly ill. The court released him from house arrest, allegedly because ‘the risks had decreased.’ Although, it’s obvious he was released just before the holidays so that he could continue denying Russia’s armed aggression and fueling interreligious hostility,” one participant stated.
The publication claims that the protest was not officially organized. Rather, “people just came with posters, which they hung on the court’s fence before the hearing.”
As the UOJ previously reported, on March 25, a hearing was held at the Sosnivka District Court in Cherkasy in the case of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv. During the session, footage from the searches conducted at the bishop’s residence on February 16, 2023, was reviewed. The head of the Cherkasy Eparchy stated that the reason for the search was an RSS feed published on the Cherkasy Blagovestnik website.
