The fresh cover of "Patriyarhat" magazine features a white-red-white flag, which has become a symbol of the protest movement having swept Belarus in recent months.

The magazine of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church “Patriyarhat”, founded in the USA in 1967, published the symbols of the Belarusian protesters on the cover. Orthodox blogger Alexander Voznesensky drew attention to this.

“Tell me more of these stories like those voiced by comrade Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz (head of the RCC in Belarus – Ed.) that Catholics are not engaged in politics, but only in prayer,” Voznesensky wrote in his Telegram channel.

We will remind, earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that if any religious organization is aimed at destroying the state, the authorities will have to react. “Nobody will be allowed to travel to Poland and receive instructions on how to destroy our country,” Lukashenko commented on the situation with the head of the RCC in Belarus Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, who was prohibited from entering the republic on August 31.

At the same time, the US State Department demanded that Minsk allow Kondrusiewicz to return and "take care of his flock during the ongoing protests."
