UOC monasteries to offer special prayers for getting rid of coronavirus
The Primate of the UOC blessed to take a number of measures in response to the threat of the coronavirus epidemic.
On March 16, 2020, the chairman of the UOC Synodal Commission for Monasteries, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl, gave the hegumens and hegumenesses of the monasteries the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, to make special prayers for getting rid of the coronavirus. Three times a day, monasteries will ring bells. A special bell ringing will last 10 minutes each time.
