On August 13, 2026, in Bukovyna, UOC faithful began a religious procession to the convent in honor of the Holy Righteous Anna in the city of Vashkovtsy. The procession is taking place on the eve of the patronal feast in honor of the Maccabean Martyrs, reports a correspondent of the SPJ.
A large column of pilgrims is moving through the streets of Vashkovtsy toward the monastery — among the participants of the religious procession are clergy, adults, and children. The faithful carry crosses, church banners, and icons of the Mother of God, accompanying the procession with prayer.
The religious procession is heading to the convent of the Holy Righteous Anna, where, on the eve of the patronal feast, the faithful from various parishes of Bukovyna traditionally gather.
At the monastery, the pilgrims will take part in the festive divine services in honor of the Holy Maccabean Martyrs.
Previously, the SPJ reported that in Alexandrovka, the faithful held a religious procession to the site of the apparition of the Mother of God.
