MP: Placing the pantheon in the Lavra is a symbolic decision
People's Deputy Yevhen Petrunyak commented on the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution on placing the Ukrainian National Pantheon on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
People's Deputy Yevhen Petrunyak supported the Cabinet of Ministers' decision to build the Ukrainian National Pantheon (UNP) on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"Placing the Pantheon specifically on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a symbolically significant decision. This is a place that has been the spiritual core of Ukrainian statehood for many centuries," Petrunyak wrote.
According to him, "an architectural competition, a scientific concept, and public discussions are now ahead." "The work is only beginning, and how seriously we approach each of its stages will determine what the face of this place will be for future generations," the MP stated.
Earlier, the SPJ reported that, according to former MP Mosiichuk, the decision to build the pantheon in the Lavra was made personally by Zelensky.
