OP head urges Rada to promptly approve law on Pantheon of Heroes
Budanov supported Zelensky's bill and called the creation of the complex a "decisive step" for the consolidation of society.
Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to parliament a draft law on the creation of the National Pantheon. Head of the OP Kyrylo Budanov believes that this document is "evidence of our state maturity".
"This is a decisive and very necessary step for restoring historical justice, consolidating our society, and laying the foundation of memory for future generations," said Budanov. In his opinion, MPs must consider and approve the initiative in the shortest possible time.
"No one will ever again dictate to Ukrainians which heroes to respect, which holidays to celebrate, or which history to study," the head of the OP emphasized. He is convinced that ancestors fought for centuries for the right to freedom of their own choice, and today warriors are shedding blood for it.
As the UOJ reported, Shevchuk told Budanov about the "state-forming role" of the UGCC.
