Volyn TCC commented on the detention of the rector in Osmygovychi
The military recruitment office stated that Archpriest Bogdan Katsevych was declared fit for service and was sent to a military unit.
The Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center stated that the UOC clergyman Archpriest Bohdan Katsevych, detained in Osmyhovychi, was subject to conscription and after undergoing procedures was sent to a military unit. This is reported by VSN.
According to press officer Ulyana Kravchuk, he was stopped by a notification group for document verification, and according to the "Obereg" system data, he was listed as subject to conscription. The TRC also claims that the military medical commission declared him fit for service and refuted information about a heart attack.
The TRC also rejected information about the clergyman's alleged heart attack. Kravchuk stated that the emergency medical team was supposedly called not to the location where Archpriest Bohdan Katsevych was staying, but to another settlement.
Currently, according to her statement, the clergyman has been sent for further service to one of the military units.
As SPJ reported, the rector of the UOC church in Osmyhovychi was detained by TRC officers after returning from the hospital with his pregnant wife. He was taken to the recruitment center premises. During his stay at the TRC, the priest's condition deteriorated and he suffered a heart attack, but he was refused hospitalization.
