Budanov speaks of draft law on Pantheon of Heroes
The head of the Presidential Office presented two approaches to determining historical figures for burial in the capital.
Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov announced the final stage of work on the draft law on the National Pantheon of Heroes. At the international forum "Security Architecture," the official presented two approaches to determining the figures who are planned to be buried with honors in the capital, reports "Ukrinform."
“Work is currently underway, in its final stage, on the Law of Ukraine ‘On the National Pantheon of Heroes,’” Budanov said. “There are several different views on how historical figures should be determined.”
The first option involves approving a specific list of names immediately upon adoption of the law as an appendix to the document. The second approach provides for the creation of a special commission to select personalities worthy of honor in the Pantheon. "Which of these options will be chosen, we will see in time," the head of the President's Office concluded.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that according to a GUR statement, the Pantheon of Heroes should become a place of spiritual strength for the Ukrainian nation.
