UOC Social Department in Kyiv delivers aid to 100 displaced families
In Kyiv, displaced families received humanitarian aid, food and household packages, as well as Paschal greetings from the UOC Social Department.
On April 25, staff of the Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs delivered humanitarian packages to 100 families of internally displaced persons in Kyiv, the Telegram channel of the UOC Synodal Department reports.
The aid distribution took place as part of regular support for those in need: around 100 families receive food and household packages every week.
In addition to essential aid, the families also received Paschal greetings.
The Social Department emphasized that supporting displaced persons today is especially important and is an expression of Christian love and mercy. It noted that attention and care provide people not only with material assistance but also strengthen hope and faith in goodness.
“Helping internally displaced persons today is extremely important, and it is precisely through such concrete actions that the true meaning of love and mercy is revealed. When people feel support, care, and compassion, it gives them not only material help but also hope and faith in goodness. This is how faith becomes alive – through people who are ready to act,” the Social Department said.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that UOC clergy in Poltava delivered aid to hospitals and social centers.
