Sviatoslav Shevchuk performed a funeral service at Denysenko's coffin and expressed support for the clergy of Epifaniy's structure.

On March 21, 2026, the head of the UGCC Sviatoslav Shevchuk, together with his assistant Andriy Khimyak, served a memorial service for the newly-departed Filaret Denysenko. The prayer for the repose of the schism leader took place at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral – the main church of the OCU, reports the UGCC press service.

After the conclusion of the memorial service, Shevchuk expressed his support to the clergy and followers of Epifaniy Dumenko’s organization. On the eve of the service, the head of the UGCC sent Dumenko official condolences, describing Denysenko’s life path as “almost a century of service and trials.”

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the head of the U.S. State Department expressed condolences to the UOC-KP over Filaret's death.
