UOC delivers charging stations to frontline communities in Donetsk region
The UOC Social Department sent five high-capacity power units to Druzhkivka, Lyman, and Sloviansk; the equipment will help residents cope with electricity outages.
On February 23, 2026, the Synodal Department of the UOC for Social and Humanitarian Affairs sent five autonomous power sources to populated areas of Donetsk Region to support civilians. This was reported by the press service of the UOC Social Department.
The power equipment was received by parishes and residents of Druzhkivka, Lyman, Sloviansk, as well as Stepanivka near Dobropillia and Adamivka. The devices are intended to meet basic needs – charging phones, providing lighting, and running essential appliances amid unstable power supply.
The total value of the donated equipment is about 400,000 hryvnias. The church department stressed that the aid is directed first and foremost to frontline areas, where infrastructure is regularly strained and damaged.
Since the start of the full-scale hostilities, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has systematically provided humanitarian support to residents of the eastern regions, delivering food, medicines, generators, and other necessary equipment.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that priests and faithful of the Rivne Eparchy donated blood for children with cancer.
