MP: Russian literature must disappear from Ukraine like the UOC
Bobrovska stated that the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting is working on a draft under which Russian-language literature will be banned in Ukraine.
The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting is working on a draft resolution that will incorporate a mechanism for removing Russian-language books from circulation, MP Solomiia Bobrovska said. She reported that Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture is planning to ban the printing and distribution of Russian and Russian-language literature in Ukraine.
“I believe this decision serves the interests of the state and will deprive the aggressor country of one of its key instruments for spreading hostile narratives. Like the Russian Church, Russian literature must disappear from the Ukrainian cultural space. Better late than never,” Bobrovska said.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Bobrovska had called on Uniates to help the OCU with the transfers of UOC churches.
