On February 12, 2026, the feast of the Synaxis of the Hierarchs Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom, Metropolitan Meletiy – ruling hierarch of the Chernivtsi Eparchy of the UOC – consecrated the altar table of a temporary church in the village of Prypruttia of the Novoselytsia Deanery. The hierarch visited the Three Hierarchs parish and performed the rite of consecration of the altar table in the temporary church dedicated to the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God. The service took place on the community’s patronal feast day.

After the consecration, Metropolitan Meletiy presided over a festive Divine Liturgy. Concelebrating with His Eminence were the eparchial secretary, Archpriest Dymytriy Shcherban, the parish rector, Archpriest Oleksandr Tanas, and clergy of the eparchy.

During the service, prayers were offered for peace on Ukrainian soil, for the Defenders, for deliverance from the enemy, and also for those who have lost their homes and are in need of support. The faithful also prayed for people of good will who help those who suffer.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, a procession of the Cross took place around the church, with the reading of the Gospel and the sprinkling of holy water. At the end of the service, the ruling hierarch congratulated the rector and parishioners on the patronal feast, and the rector thanked the hierarch for his archpastoral care and shared prayer.
