In the Rivne Eparchy, the persecuted community of the Church of St. Spyridon of Trimythous marked its patronal feast.
On December 25, 2025, in the village of Mali Dorohostai, the persecuted community of the Church of St. Spyridon of Trimythous of the Mlyniv Deanery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), within the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC, celebrated its patronal feast. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC.
The Divine Liturgy was led by the dean of the Mlyniv District, Archpriest Vasyl Ivaneiko. Concelebrating with him were the rector of the church, Archpriest Oleksandr Yashchuk, and clergy from the Mlyniv, Dubno, and Korets deaneries. During the service, special prayers were offered for fallen warrior-parishioners Andrii and Vasyl, as well as for all those who have perished in the war.
The festive Divine Liturgy concluded with a moleben and a cross procession.
As a reminder, on February 5, 2019, the church in Mali Dorohostai was transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). After that, the community initially prayed in an adapted temporary space, and in 2021 consecrated a new church.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a persecuted community in Maliatyntsi celebrated its patronal feast for the first time.
