Donald Trump signed an order initiating the process to designate certain branches of the "Muslim Brotherhood" as terrorist organizations.

On November 24, 2025, American President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the US Department of State and the US Department of the Treasury to consider designating certain chapters of the "Muslim Brotherhood" as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT), reports the official White House website.

The document states that the heads of these departments, in consultation with the Attorney General and the Director of National Intelligence, must submit a report on whether to designate any Muslim Brotherhood chapters, such as those in Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan as terrorist organizations. After the report is submitted, the Order mandates the Secretary of State and Secretary of Treasury take action within 45 days after the report to designate chapters as FTOs and SDGTs if appropriate.

As emphasized, the Order’s ultimate aim is to eliminate the designated chapters’ capabilities and operations, deprive them of resources, and end any threat such chapters pose to U.S. nationals and the national security of the United States.

US Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka supported Trump's decision and stated on social media that such measures should have been taken much earlier.

"This should have happened the day after September 11. But it didn't. Because every president was either ignorant or anti-American. Until President Donald Trump came along. God bless the Commander-in-Chief for initiating the designation of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' as terrorists," Gorka noted.

As reported by teh UOJ, Trump previously stated that the US intends to protect Christians around the world.
