OCU representatives took the church from Orthodox Christians a year ago.

On November 21, 2025, the persecuted UOC parish of the Archangel Michael celebrated its patronal feast in the Bukovynian village of Zeleniv, as reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovynian eparchy on their Facebook page.

The Divine Liturgy was held in the house church, as the community's native church was seized by supporters of the OCU over a year ago.

The faithful published a magnification to Archangel Michael, which the clergy sings during the service.

As reported by the UOJ, on September 10, 2024, OCU raiders used a grinder to cut the locks on the church doors and broke a window through which they entered the sanctuary. In the opinion of Orthodox Bukovynians, such an act resembled barbarism more than Christianity
