In Volodymyr, UOC eparchy and persecuted community rent new premises

The Volodymyr-Volynsky Eparchial Administration and the Dormition Cathedral community do not suspend their activities.
On October 16, 2025, a meeting of the council of the Volodymyr-Volynsky Eparchy of the UOC took place, where the head of the eparchy, Metropolitan Volodymyr, discussed the situation around the Dormition Cathedral and the eparchial administration in Volodymyr, reports the eparchy's press service.
The hierarch noted that as of today, the parishioners of the cathedral are deprived of the possibility to pray in their church, and the episcopal house, where the eparchy's administration was located, is sealed.
Metropolitan Volodymyr also reported that the residence of the Metropolitan of Volodymyr-Volynsky and Kovel remains in Volodymyr and will temporarily be located in the premises rented for further services by the persecuted religious community of the Dormition Cathedral.
The meeting was attended by district deans, monastery abbots, cathedral rectors, and heads of the eparchial departments.
As reported by the UOJ, in Volodymyr, the parish prayed outdoors after their cathedral had been sealed.
