MP invites to Dumenko’s “service” in UOC cathedral seized in Volodymyr

Huz insists that after being “returned” to the state, the Assumption Cathedral will operate “in accordance with current legislation.”
Member of Parliament Ihor Huz, in his video address, announced a “service” by Epifaniy Dumenko to be held in the Assumption Cathedral in Volodymyr, which was seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).
According to him, a commission is currently working in the cathedral and diocesan offices to inventory the expropriated property of the UOC, after which Dumenko will enter the church.
“I personally will initiate that in the near future Metropolitan Epifaniy, head of the OCU, conduct a divine service right here, in this very church. I am convinced – it will happen. And I already invite all patriots, all Orthodox believers, to attend this service,” said Huz, promising to announce the date later.
He expressed confidence that after the UOC is expelled, the Assumption Cathedral will not remain empty.
“It will operate within the framework of current legislation. How exactly – you will hear about it soon,” the MP hinted.
As the UOJ previously reported, in Volodymyr the UOC was deprived of the buildings of the cathedral and the diocesan administration.
