UCCRO stated that the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting is pressuring the movement “All Together!” for supporting the traditional family and criticizing LGBT ideology.

On October 13, 2025, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) sent an open letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, accusing the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of discriminating against Christian and family values, reports Slovo o Slovi.

In the letter, religious leaders expressed concern over the National Council’s actions, which they say pressure the civic organization “All Together!” for publishing materials in defense of the traditional family and for criticizing LGBT ideology. The organization was fined 40,000 and 88,000 hryvnias for allegedly “unbalanced coverage” of family policy topics.

“The National Council does not conceal its biased and discriminatory attitude toward media materials that promote Christian and family values,” the appeal states. UCCRO representatives stressed that such actions contradict the Constitution of Ukraine and the principles of freedom of speech.

Church leaders also noted that the National Council’s reasoning equates the Christian worldview with a threat and effectively restricts religious expression. “Clear support for traditional or Christian values cannot be considered a violation of balance in opinion,” the letter emphasizes.

UCCRO called on the Ukrainian authorities to guarantee protection of freedom of conscience, speech, and religion, and to review the National Council’s decisions, which, in the view of believers, undermine democratic principles and religious freedom.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Ministry of Education and UCCRO discussed the creation of private Catholic schools.
