Youth convention “In the Footsteps of the Apostles” held at Poltava seminary
A week-long program for Sunday school students of the eparchy was held at the seminary.
From June 24 to 30, 2025, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Philip of Poltava and Myrhorod, the Poltava Missionary Theological Seminary hosted the youth Bible convention “In the Footsteps of the Apostles” for Sunday school students of the Poltava Eparchy of the UOC, according to the seminary’s Facebook page.
Each morning began with exercise and common prayer. The program included games, quizzes, and recreational activities. Special attention was given to studying the Acts of the Apostles, mentorship by the camp’s spiritual fathers, and preaching by clergy from the Poltava Missionary Theological Seminary. Participants reflected on the meaning of apostleship and service in the Church.
A trip to Horishni Plavni was also organized, where the teenagers learned about work, social responsibility, and the proper use of God’s gifts.
Lectures and excursions alternated with active outdoor recreation: energetic games, team competitions, volleyball, and evening entertainment created an atmosphere of unity, friendship, and joy. Each day ended with evening prayer.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that future iconographers of the UOC defended their diplomas in Kamianets-Podilskyi.
