Odesa Eparchy organizes aid for victims of attacks
The Odesa Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has launched an aid drive and opened a hotline for people affected by the overnight attack on September 12. With the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail, eparchial services have begun receiving requests for assistance.
The overnight attack destroyed several floors of a residential building in Odesa’s Arcadia district. Civilians, including children, were injured in the attack. Residential buildings and other civilian facilities were also damaged in Chornomorsk.
The eparchy is urging anyone in need to call its dedicated hotline. Clergy and volunteers are preparing essential material aid for affected families.
Believers are praying for the swift recovery of the injured, for peace and for the preservation of human life. The eparchy is calling on everyone who can help to support their fellow citizens in this difficult time.
As the UOJ reported, a UOC church in Chornomorsk was damaged in the attack.
