The eviction process has been suspended.

The eviction process of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church community from the Dormition Cathedral in the city of Volodymyr has been suspended due to the Supreme Court’s decision to review the community’s appeal against previous rulings by the commercial and appellate courts. The local outlet Bug reported the development.

On June 3, 2025, the North-Western Commercial Court of Appeal suspended proceedings in case No. 903/693/24 in light of the Supreme Court's initiation of cassation proceedings.

All case materials are now being transferred to the cassation court, where a hearing is scheduled for July 8, 2025.

As previously reported by the UOJ, a representative of the Dormition Cathedral community had filed an appeal, arguing that the eviction ruling violated his personal rights. The appeal temporarily suspended the Volyn Regional Commercial Court’s decision on the forced removal of the UOC parish until May 29.
