Romanian Patriarch Daniel: We pray to God for potecting Ukrainian people

The Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church called for an end to the war in Ukraine and for prayers for peace.
His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, expressed prayerful support for the Ukrainian people. His statement was published on the basilica.ro website.
“We pray to the Merciful God, the Lord of peace, justice, and love, to grant protection to the Ukrainian people and peacemaking wisdom to all responsible political leaders,” said the head of the Romanian Church.
His Beatitude Daniel expressed hope for a constructive dialogue in the name of peace.
“Thus, we hope that Euro-Atlantic political forces will be able to find a path to peaceful dialogue for the benefit of Ukraine and all of Europe,” he stated.
The Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church expressed “full solidarity with Romanian Orthodox Christians living in Ukraine” and emphasized the Church’s “readiness to help them with its own means.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Patriarch of Georgia called for an end to military actions in Ukraine.
