With the blessing of Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, a prayer service was held before the icon “Joy of All Who Sorrow.”

On June 5, 2025, with the blessing of Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, Bishop Feodosiy of Ladanka, together with the clergy of Pryluky, served a moleben before the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” the Nizhyn Eparchy’s press office reports.

In the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral, prayers were offered for the recovery of the wounded, and a memorial service was held to commemorate those killed in the city during the night. During the service, prayers were lifted to God for the swift end of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.

Bishop Feodosiy conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased on behalf of Metropolitan Clement, who also gave his blessing for all churches and monasteries in the eparchy to pray for the repose of the souls of the departed for forty days.

In addition, by the archpastor’s blessing, the eparchy announced a fundraising campaign to assist those wounded and affected by the enemy strike.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Yevlogy condemned the shelling of Sumy and expressed condolences to the victims.
