Volyn Eparchy choir wins award at international festival in Poland

The choir took second place at the "Hajnówka Days of Church Music" festival.
The choir of the Cathedral of All Saints of the Land of Volyn, Volyn Bells, conducted by Maria Fedosiuk-Vyslotska, won second place in the category of “urban parish choirs” at the international festival Hajnówka Days of Church Music, according to the Facebook page of the Volyn Eparchy.
The choir performed Our Father (music by Nikolai Kedrov) and the Hymn to the Chełm Icon of the Mother of God.
The festival was held with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the Polish city of Hajnówka. Choirs from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Serbia, and other countries took part. The event received strong support from the Polish authorities.
Sejm Deputy Krzysztof Truskolaski conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Donald Tusk and read a letter from Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The Hajnówka Days of Church Music has been held annually since 1982. Its aim is to showcase the art of sacred music performance and its religious and prayerful character. The festival draws hundreds of listeners not only from Poland but from across Europe.
Earlier, it was reported that in 2021, the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary Choir won first place at the Hajnówka Festival.
