Monastic tonsure performed at Vvedensky Convent of Nizhyn Eparchy

Metropolitan Clement tonsured the nuns of the women's monastery in Nizhyn.
On April 16, 2025, after the completion of the statutory evening service on the eve of Great Thursday, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky tonsured two novices of the Vvedensky Convent in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, into monasticism. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhyn Eparchy.
During the sacred rite, which the hierarch of the UOC performed in the cathedral church of the monastery, the sisters of the Vvedensky Convent prayed.
The new nuns received the names: Olga – in honor of Blessed Olga of the Florovsky Convent and Raisa – in honor of the martyr Raisa (Iraida) of Alexandria. In the tonsure, they received new heavenly patrons to assist them in bearing the Cross of monastic obedience.
In his words of instruction, the archbishop explained to the newly tonsured nuns what the feat of monastic life entails.
As reported by the UOJ, on April 16, a monastic tonsure was also performed at the Transfiguration Skete of the Olexandria Eparchy.
