Court hearing on Upper Lavra case postponed

The court granted the motion filed by the monastery’s legal defense.
On April 2, a scheduled hearing was held at the Northern Commercial Court of Appeals in Kyiv regarding the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery’s lawsuit against the National Reserve over the right to use churches in the Upper Lavra. According to the monastery’s attorney, Archpriest Mykyta Chekman, the hearing has been postponed.
The new date for the hearing is April 28 at 3:00 p.m.
The postponement was due to attorney Fr. Mykyta Chekman being engaged in another court session on a criminal case at the same time. As a result, the Lavra’s legal team submitted a motion to reschedule the hearing, which the court approved.
As previously reported by the UOJ, on March 24, the hearing on the Upper Lavra case was also postponed.
